Openwave Messaging Acquired by Synchronoss Technologies
San Mateo-based Openwave Messaging, a provider of email, security, subscriber and identity management, and other unified messaging tools, has been acquired by New Jersey-based Synchronoss Technologies. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Both Synchronoss and Openwave Messaging provide services to the mobile carrier market. Synchronoss said the acquisition will not have a material impact on either its revenue or EPS for the 2016 year. Openwave Messaging was backed by Marlin Equity Partners.
