Mesosphere Raises $73.5M
San Francisco-based container deployment software developer Mesosphere said this morning that it has raised $73.5M in a Series C funding round. The funding came from Microsoft, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), as well as Andreessen Horowitz, Khosla Ventures, Fuel Capital, A Capital and Triangle Peak Partners. Mesosphere says it has now raised nearly $126M. Mesophere's software is used for managing and deploying "containers", an enterprise technique for capturing all of the details around enterprise data center installations and applications.
