Blackhawk Network Acquires Grass Roots Group
Pleasanton-based prepaid payments network Blackhawk Network Holdings said on Wednesday that it has agreed to acquire Grass Roots Group Holdings Ltd., a developer of employee and customer engagement solutions, in a deal worth approximately $118M in cash. Grass Roots is based in the United Kingdom. According to Blackhawk, the deal will help it broaden the global capabilities of its incentives and engagement business. Talbott Roche is CEO and President of Blackhawk.
