Airbnb Aims At Flight Booking, Seeks $153M More, Eyes IPO
San Francisco-based Airbnb is looking to raise another $153M in equity, according to a regulatory filing by the firm Friday, and is also eyeing an expansion into flight booking. According to reports today, Airbnb is working on a project called "Flights", which will help its users book flights, in addition to booking rooms on its service. Bloomberg reported the flight booking feature is expected to debut before an IPO from Airbnb in the next 18 months.
