Symantec Sells Off PKI Unit To DigiCert

said this week that it has reached a deal with certificate and encryption company
DigiCert
, where it will sell its Website Security and related PKI Solutions business to DigiCert, in a deal worth $950M in cash. As part of the sale, Symantec also acquires approximately a 30 percent stake in the common equity of DigiCert. DigiCert is based in Lehi, Utah.
