Proofpoint Completes Cloudmark Aquisition
Sunnyvale-based Proofpoint announced on Tuesday afternoon that it has completed its acquisition of San Francisco-based Cloudmark, which provides messaging security and threat intelligence for internet service providers (ISPs) and mobile carriers. The deal was worth $110M in cash, and had been announced on November 7th. According to Proofpoint, it will incorporate Cloudmark's Global Threat Network into its own platform. Proofpoint is led by CEO Gary Steele.
