Care.com, which helps people find child and senior care, said this morning that it has acquired three different Bay Area companies to bolster its services. According to Care.com, it has acquired
Town + County,
Galore, and
Trusted. Town + Country was founded in 2008 by Carrie and Jens Hillen, and operates a marketplace for household staffing; Galore, founded in 2015 by Jeff Levinsohn and Max Haines-Stiles, operates a marketplace for booking classes and kids' after school activities; and Trusted, founded in 2015 by Anand Iyer and Vivian Chan, operates an on-demand caregiving app that allows parents to find nannies and sitters on demand Financial terms of the acquisitions were not announced. Care.com is based in Waltham, Mass., and also has an office in San Francisco.
