TeleBlend Buys SunRocket Assets
Oakland-based TeleBlend, a provider of broadband phone service, announced Friday morning that the firm is in a definitive agreement to acquire "certain limited strategic assets" of SunRocket, the now-defunct voice-over-IP provider. TeleBlend said that it negotiated the asset purchase with Sherwood Partners, which is managing the sale of Sun Rocket's assets. TeleBlend is a joint venture of Unified Communications Corp. and USA Telephone, and provides local and long distance phone service.
