NetManage, Rocket Software Extend Acquisition Date
Cupertino-based NetManage, a developer of software for web enabling enterprise applications, and Rocket Software, a Boston-based software firm, said today that both companies have agreed to extend the deadline for Rocket Software's acquisition of NetManage. Rocket Software said in December that it would pay $69M in cash for NetManage. At that time, the companies set a deadline of January 18th for the acquisition, which has passed; however, both firms said that they have agreed to extend their agreement to February 8th while Rocket finalizes financing of the deal.
