Capella Gets $15M In New Funding
San Jose-based Capella Intelligent Subsystems, which develops optical switching multiplexers, said today that it has raised $15M in a new round of funding. The round was led by Lucas Venture Group, and also included prior investors Levensohn Venture Partners, Rustic Canyon Partners, and Formative Ventures. According to Capella, the new capital will be used towards new product offerings and operational improvements at the firm. The $15M in funding follows a 2007 recapitalization of the firm, where $20M in funding went into the company. The firm had previously raised $44M before the recap.
