Pageflakes Acquired By LiveUniverse
San Francisco-based personal home page provider Pageflakes has been acquired by LiveUniverse, the Internet firm owned by Brad Greenspan, LiveUniverse said Friday morning. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Greenspan, who was head of Intermix, the parent company of MySpace, said Pageflakes will become a wholly owned subsidiary of LiveUniverse and remain in San Francisco. Pageflakes was venture backed by Benchmark Capital. The deal was made up of cash, stock, plus what LiveUniverse describes as "several million dollars" of promotion on its web sites. Pageflakes CEO continues on and becomes a Senior Vice President at LiveUnvierse.
