Silicon Valley venture capital firm Accel Partners reported Wednesday that it has named Sameer Gandhi as a partner in its Palo Alto, Calif., office. For Accel, Gandhi will help develop companies in the consumer Internet and software sectors. Accel described Gandhi as a venture capital veteran with a decade of investment experience. Prior to joining Accel, Gandhi spent 10 years with Sequoia Capital and ended his tenure there as a partner. Before that, he worked as a technology banker at Broadview and as a sales engineer at Oracle. Founded in 1983, Accel Partners is a global investment firm with offices in Palo Alto, London and China.
