Marquiss Wind Power Buys Cirrus Technologies
Folsom-based Marquiss Wind Power, a developer of wind turbine technology, said Tuesday that it has acquired the assets of Cirrus Technologies Inc. Marquiss said that Cirrus owns seven patents on technologies related to wind energy. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. John Roskey, founder of Cirrus, will join Marquiss as Chief Technology Officer. Marquiss Wind Power is venture backed by Velocity Venture Capital, which as put more than $2M in funding into the firm.
