Autodesk Buys CAD Software Firm
San Rafael-based Autodesk said this morning that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Elektro-CAE-Software GmbH , a developer of computer aided design (CAD) software. According to Autodesk, the deal calls for it to acquire substantially all of the assets of Elektro-CAE-Software GmbH from Mensch und Maschine Deutschland GmbH. The firm develops a CAD software packaged called ECSCAD. The product is used for creating schematics for electric controls systems. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
