San Mateo-based SpringSource said today that it has acquired San Francisco-based Hyperic, a developer of open source, application management software. Financial terms were not disclosed. Hyperic provides web application performance management software, which is used to monitor physical and virtual servers, logs, Amazon Web Services, and other applications. Both Hyperic and SpringSource are venture backed by Accel Partners and Benchmark Capital.
