Juniper Buys Ankeena
Sunnyvale-based Juniper Networks said Thursday that it is buying Ankeena Networks, a provider of software used to scale out the deliver of online media content. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, however, Juniper said the deal is worth less than $100M. Juniper said it will use Ankeena's software to provide high performance, content deliver networking and other products. Ankeena was backed by Clearstone Ventures, Trinity Ventures, and the Mayfield FUnd.
