SpringSource Buys GemStone Systems
Palo Alto-based SpringSource, a division of VMware, said Thursday afternoon that it has acquired GemStone Systems, a developer of enterprise data management software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. GemStone develops software used to manage data distribution to reduce network latency in enterprise and cloud applications.
