Harmonic Completes Omneon Buy
San Jose-based Harmonic said Wednesday that it has completed its acquisition of Sunnyvale-based Omneon. The deal was worth approximately $273M, made up of $194M in cash plus 17.1 million shares of Harmonic shares. The deal was originally announced in May. Harmonic is a developer of video encoding, transcoding, streaming, and delivery for TV, PC, and mobile devices; Omneon developed media server and video streaming products.
