San Francisco-based TaskRabbit, the online marketplace for helping connect people and businesses with services, said Monday that it has acquired SkillSlate, an auction-based site for local services. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. The acquisitions come just a month after TaskRabbit announced a $17.8M, Series B funding round. SkillSlate's co-founder and CEO, Bartek Ringwelski, becomes TaskRabbit's director of financial planning and analysis; co-founder Brian Rothenberg becomes director of online marketing; and CTO Mike Nelson joins TaskRabbit's engineering team.
