has acquired the interconnect hardware development program of supercomputer maker
Cray
, Cray said late Tuesday, in a deal worth $140M in cash. Cray said it has agred to sell its interconnect hardware development program and related intellectual property, and transfer 74 employees to Intel, in a bid to strengthen its balance sheet.
