Boost VC said this morning that it has closed on a $6.6M fund, specifically aimed at mostly investing in Bitcoin companies, as well as announced its fourth "tribe" of companies participating in its accelerator. According to Bosot VC, which was founded by Adam Draper and Brayton Williams, the $6.6M in funding came from Marc Andreessen, Ben Davenport , Barry Schuler, Rothenberg Ventures, Maven II, Kilowatt Capital, Tim Draper, and Bill Draper. Boost VC said it epxected to invest in 200 companies over the next three years using the fund, with an expected 50 percent of those investments to be in Bitcoin companies. The company said it recently completed its latest program last Thursday, with more than 25 companies.
