Rubrik Picks Up $41M For Cloud Backup Appliance
Palo Alto-based Rubrik announced this morning that it has raised $41M in a funding round, for the company's cloud backup appliances. The funding was led by Greylock Partners, and also included Lightspeed Venture Partners, John W. Thompson (Microsoft, Symantec), Frank Slootman (ServiceNow), Dheeraj Pandey (Nutanix) and Mark Leslie (Veritas). The company says it has now raised $51M in funding. Rubrik's appliance mounts within an enterprise helps users tap into the cloud as repository for enterprise data, particularly for disaster recovery and backup.
