Coherent Buys Rofin-Sinar For $942M
Santa Clara-based laser manufacturer Coherent announced
this morning that Coherent will pay $942M in a deal for ROFIN-SINAR Technologies. Coherent said it will pay $32.50 per share in cash for ROFIN-SINAR. Both companies trade on the NASDAQ. ROFIN-SINAR is a developer of industrial lasers and components. Both comapanies supply their lasers to the scientific, commercial, and industrial markets.
