Chegg Buys Imagine Easy Solutions For $42M
Santa Clara-based Chegg has acquired Imagine Easy Solutions, the developer of writing tools such as EasyBib.com. Chegg said it would pay $2M in the all-cash transaction, which $25M at close and $17M to be paid by April of 2017, plus up to $18M in earn out over the next three years. Imagine Easy had more than 7 million unique users in March, according to Chegg. The companies said Vista Point Advisors advised Imagine Easy, with Deborah Quazzo of GSV Advisors advising Imagine Easy's founders in the deal.
