Francisco Partners, Elliott Management Buy Dell Software
San Francisco-based private equity investor Francisco Partners, along with Elliott Management, said this morning that they have reached a deal to acquire Dell Software Group from Dell. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. The funding was backed by debt financing from Credit Suisse and RBC Capital Markets. Dell was advised by Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett LLP in the deal; Francisco was advised by Barclays and Citigroup, along with Shearman & Sterling, Kirkland & Ellis, and Gibson Dunn.
