Mapbox Acquires Human
San Francisco-based mapping software developer Mapbox has acquired Human, a startup developing activity tracking software for smartphones, according to Human. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Human said that the anonymous data being collected by its apps is currently being used by Mapbox to improve OpenStreetMap, the open source mapping software behind Mapbox's tools.
