Nauto Gets $159M For Self Driving Auto Technology
Palo Alto-based Nauto, a developer of artificial intelligence software used for enabling self-driving, autonomous vehicles, has raised $159M in a Series B funding round, the company said today. The funding was led by SoftBank Group Corp. and Greylock Partners, and also included Allianz Ventures, BMW iVentures, General Motors Ventures, Toyota AI Ventures, Draper Nexus and Playground Global. Nauto is focused on adding self driving technology as a retrofit into existing vehicles, starting with commercial fleets. The company's founder and CEO is Stefan Heck.
