Ceres Imaging Picks Up $2.5M More For Aerial Image Analysis For Farmers
Oakland-based Ceres Imaging, a developer of software for analyzing aerial images and providing data to help farmers improve crop yields, has raised $2.5M more in its Series A funding, the company announced today. The funding came from Romulus Capital. The new funds come on top of an earlier, Series A funding announced by the company earlier this year, and brings its total raised to $10.5M since founding in 2014. The company's software uses aerial, spectral imaging to determine plant water levels and nutrient content in fields, letting farmers adjust their use of water and fertilizer to increase yields. The company is led by Ashwin Madgavkar.
