San Francisco-based
Enview, a developer of 3D analytics and computer vision tools used for monitoring power line and other infrastructure, has raised $6M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Crosslink Capital, and also included Lemnos, Promus Ventures, and Skype co-founder Toivo Annus. Crosslink's Matt Bigge and Lemnos' Helen Boniske both join the company's board with the funding round. Enview says its 3D vision system helps monitor threats to infrastructure such as power lines, pipes, and cables; the company said its technology can help detect possible issues like tree branches possibly falling on a power line during a storm, or a construction team digging dangerously close to an underground natural gas pipeline.
