Particle Acquires RedBear
San Francisco-based Particle announced this morning that it has acquired RedBear, a provider of IoT hardware development based in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. REdBear was founded in 2012, and specializes in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi-enabled IoT hardware. Particle said the acquisition will expand its R&D capacity. Particle is a developer of Internet-of-Things (IoT) platforms. Particle is venture backed by Spark Capital and Qualcomm Ventures.
