Symantec Acquires Appthority
Mountain View-based Symantec said on Monday that it has acquired Appthority, a developer of mobile application security software. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. Appthority becomes part of Symantec's endpoint security business. Appthority was founded in 2011, and was based in San Francisco; the company's investors include Venrock, US Venture Partners, Gunderson Dettmer, and others.
