BigFix, a developer of software used for configuration management, compliance, and reporting, has been acquired by
IBM. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. BigFix was venture backed by Levensohn Venture Partners, Selby Ventures, and Thomas Weisel Partners. IBM said the BigFix's products will complement its existing smarter data center offerings. BigFix had over 700 customers in the federal, retail, entertainment, healthcare, education and financial services area.
