Berkeley-based
LightSail Energy, a developer of energy storage technology, said today that it has raised $37.3M in funding. The round was led by Peter Thiel, and also included Khosla Ventures, Bill Gates, Innovacorp, and others. LightSail, which is led by Steve Crane, says it is developing energy storage technology which uses compressed air to store power.
